Vicky Gooch - Work Detail: David after Michaelangelo

Classical study of art includes paintings done from plaster casts of master sculptures.  This is from a cast of Michelangelo's David.  The cast was the size of the statue, much larger than a human head.  Michelangelo gave him a look of fierce determination, which David would have needed.
